SyrianAir, formerly Syrian Arab Airlines, is the national carrier of Syria, with primary hubs at Damascus International Airport and Aleppo International Airport. It operates scheduled international flights to Asia, Africa, and Europe, as well as domestic services. This airline aims to foster economic growth by transporting passengers and cargo.

Syrian Airlines’ fleet includes Airbus A320 and A340 for medium and long-range travel, Ilyushin 76 for cargo, and ATR 72-500 for short-haul routes. After Damascus International Airport reopened in January 2025, full operations promptly resumed once again, and the first international commercial flight took off on 7 Janary 2025, heading from Damascus to Sharjah.

Class of Travel

Economy Class features spacious seats with adjustable headrests, ensuring a relaxed experience. Passengers enjoy meal options with a choice of red or white meat, supplemented by light meals, including sandwiches, on all routes. Business Class elevates the travel experience with exclusive services, such as dedicated counters and a specialized hall at Damascus International Airport equipped with modern amenities for business needs. Seats recline up to 72°, offering superior comfort and ample space. Meals include high-quality selections of red and white meats, appetizers, Damascene sweets, and Western pastries, combining luxury and practicality for travelers.

Baggage Allowance

Economy Class passengers can bring one cabin bag weighing up to 8 kg, within 50/40/25 cm dimensions.

Business Class passengers can carry one bag up to 10 kg.

The allowed items include small briefcases or handbags, coats, capes, umbrellas, crutches, walking sticks, small cameras, and binoculars for convenience.

Live animals are allowed in the cabin or as checked baggage if placed in a container sized to let them stand, lie, and turn comfortably. Passengers must provide relevant documentation for origin and destination, and must notify Syrian Air when booking in all cases. Applicable tariffs govern pet carriage arrangements.

Check-in

Check-in for SyrianAir flights begins 3 hours before departure for narrow-body aircraft and counters close 45 minutes prior scheduled departure. Passengers should proceed to the departure gate 90 minutes before take-off for narrow-body aircraft (A320).

Check-in for Syrian Air flights begins 4 hours for wide-body aircraft and counters close 60 minutes prior scheduled departure, ensuring sufficient time for boarding and final preparations.Passengers should proceed to the departure gate 2 hours for wide-body aircraft (A340).

SyrianAir reserves the right to deny boarding to passengers arriving after the stated time limits.

Refund & Cancellation

Refunds for Syrian Airlines E-tickets can be processed through RB sales offices or authorized IATA travel agent offices. Passengers are advised to contact the respective office for assistance with cancellation and refund procedures.
